The PCL Team
, President, has over 30 years of experience helping contractors establish and expand their surety lines of credit. He worked for eight years as an underwriter and bond manager for USF&G and Hartford, and four years for a full lines insurance agency before joining PCL in 1985.
Clem served as a director for Associated Builders and Contractors-North Texas from 2005-2008. In August 2007, ABC-NT presented him with the "Excellence in Government Award," recognizing him for his ongoing commitment and efforts on behalf of ABC, its members, and the construction industry in the areas of legislation and political action.
Clem is a member of the American Institute of Constructors. Prior to earning his business degree from the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, he spent part of his military duty in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers working at NATO sites in Europe. |
, started his surety career in 1989 in Tempe, Arizona, and moved to the Dallas area in 1993. Prior to joining PCL, Steven was a contract bond underwriter in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, working for several surety companies. This underwriting experience gives him an excellent perspective on agent-underwriter relationships, and on handling the needs of a wide variety of contractors.

earned a degree in Economics from California State University at Northridge, and started his career in the surety industry in California and Arizona before moving to Texas in 1992. Most recently, he served as Senior Contract Underwriter for RLI Insurance Company in Dallas for nine years, and for Old Republic Surety Company before joining PCL in June 2008.
Michael earned his AFSB (Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonding) in 1997. Although he specializes in surety, he is also familiar with insurance and risk management, having earned his CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter), ARM (Associate in Risk Management) and AIC (Associate in Claims).

joined PCL as a producer in September 2008, and recently received his general lines license from the Texas Department of Insurance.
Eric graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington in 1999 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. While attending college, he worked for a controls contractor doing Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and Supervisory Controls And Data Acquisition (SCADA) development. After graduation, he worked for nine years at Lockheed Martin doing Electrical and Software Engineering for a variety of missile systems.

worked for four years for a Dallas-based commercial developer and construction company prior to starting PCL in 1985. She sold the agency in 2002. Pauline's primary responsibilities are customer service, as well as assisting the agency's producers and management. Pauline has been a member of the Fort Worth Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction since 1987, and is a past Chapter President. |
Pat Pinchback and Lisa Borhaug
Pat and Lisa primary responsibility is to serve PCL's clients. They receive and process bond requests, prepare bonds and arrange for delivery, follow up for bid results, assist clients in closing bonds, report bonds to the sureties, and keep PCL's producers informed of activity pertaining to their clients. They serve as the agency's liaison with the bond technicians at the surety companies, as well as assisting PCL's owners and producers.
has been with PCL since March 2002. She worked previously at Travelers Bond in Houston.
joined PCL in January 2009, and earned her General Lines insurance license in April. Lisa has experience in customer service, most recently at a local insurance agency. |
